{"id":1232,"date":"2016-08-24T19:35:35","date_gmt":"2016-08-24T17:35:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/talakademin.nu\/?p=1232"},"modified":"2016-08-24T19:35:35","modified_gmt":"2016-08-24T17:35:35","slug":"utvardera-din-taltraning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/talakademin.nu\/index.php\/2016\/08\/24\/utvardera-din-taltraning\/","title":{"rendered":"Utv\u00e4rdera din taltr\u00e4ning!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8221;I noticed quite a few differences in how I was speaking this year, as opposed to last.\u00a0 Some of it, I know, was related to having more confidence this year, but not all of it.\u00a0 Some of it was a direct result of the gradual changes I am making in how I\u2019m thinking\/focussing when I speak, and the different way I am learning to produce speech.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I didn\u2019t really use any voluntary stuttering.\u00a0 I could have easily done so without having any feelings towards doing that, but I simply didn\u2019t want to or feel any need to use it this time round.\u00a0 I knew I could speak clearly, I wasn\u2019t fearing stuttering, and overall, I wasn\u2019t thinking about how I was talking.\u00a0 Although I knew the broad outline of what I wanted to say \u2013 the various points and stories I wanted to tell, I wasn\u2019t saying it word for word.\u00a0 Often, I didn\u2019t know exactly what I was going to say before I said it.\u00a0 Sometimes I said things totally unplanned, on the spur of the moment, which was appropriate at the time.\u00a0 My speech was definitely more flowing than last year, and I think I was saying more words per breath, but I wasn\u2019t really thinking about that.\u00a0 I was more focussed on my message and connecting with the audience.\u00a0 It was a fun experience and I was asked back to speak again next year!\u00a0 Afterwards, I wasn\u2019t quite so \u2018in the flow\u2019.\u00a0 I\u2019m still not that confident using this new way of producing speech in everyday conversations \u2013 though I am gradually getting the hang of it more with my immediate family.\u00a0 So \u2013 practice and time are needed there, I think, to build up confidence in that area.\u00a0 Now on to preparing for my next talk in two days\u2019 time \u2013 another 45 minute one with questions afterwards!<\/p>\n<p>I want to encourage every PWS in this group, to venture out of your comfort zone too and to try something new.\u00a0 You never know, you might have a really fun time!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Haz el (Percy)<\/p>\n<p>Hazel Percy \u00e4r en person som taltr\u00e4nar och redog\u00f6r f\u00f6r det i skrift.
